Possum Town Quilters met for their regular monthly meeting on Saturday, October 12, 2024. The meeting opened with a welcome from guild president, Karen Cauley. Minutes for the September 24 meeting were approved as written on the blog with a motion by Marilyn H. and a second by Ina J. The treasury report was given by President, Karen C. The treasurers report was presented and approved by unanimously with a motion by Marilyn H. and seconded by Ina J.
Old Business
Committee Chair Reports
Raffle Quilt Committee - "Southern Sayings" - Tonya S. and Patti M. - The embroidered block has been completed.
Quilt of Valor - Quilts were presented to 3 recipients. Two of the quilts were made by PTQ.
Nomination Committee - The current President, Vice President and Treasurer have agreed to stay in their respective positions for another year. Tonya S. has agreed to be nominatd as the 2025 Secretary. A motion to accept the slate of officers was unanimously approved.
New Business
Discussed 2025 meetings and programs tht members are interested in. Suggestions:
Classes - members teach abd outside teachers
Sew days on meeting days. Have a theme: charity quilts, QOV, hospitals, etc.
General Announcements:
