Treasurer’s report was read and approved.
Possum Town Quilters currently has 44 members.

Pilgrimage:  quilt tying report.
Judy S. said 8 members helped those who stopped at the booth tie knots in the prepared quilt.  Participants enjoyed the activity.  The quilt will be donated to the Red Cross.  The award winning “Name That Tune” quilt was on display at the visitor’s center during Pilgrimage week.  Visitors to Columbus enjoyed guessing the song titles represented in each quilt block.  Nancy Carpenter thanked the guild for participating in Pilgrimage week.  A monetary stipend has been received by the guild.

Guild Challenge Quilts:
Pigeon Forge will offer a guild quilt challenge.  Theme will be ‘Black and White plus One’.  We are hoping to participate in this challenge and offer the quilts for display during 2017 Pilgrimage.

PTQ class with National Teacher, Jacquie Gering on Saturday, Sept. 24, 2016:
Log Cabin Modern Makeover will be the class she is leading.  Guild members described her classes as “fun” and “fabulous”.  With testimonies like that, ALL 44 of us will want to plan to be in attendance!  We have even been contacted by ladies in Florida who saw Jacquie Gering is coming to Columbus, MS and wanted to know if they could have a few class slots.  Wow!

Habitat for Humanity:
Director, Kathy Arinder, has been contacted.  House dedication for two families will be in May.  We need to put together a masculine quilt.

MQA Fall Gathering:
Fat Quarter bags are completed.  We will be working on row marker pins and stiletto’s today and at the April 23 sit-n-sew.   The coasters and the cleaning tool are the next projects to be created.  Carol has volunteered to have fabric for Coasters.  Some of the donated fat quarters can be used.
Donations for the silent auction can be ANYTHING.  Door Prize donations need to be Brand New or Extremely gently used—almost new.  Ask yourself:  Is this something I would bid on?  Would I like to receive this as a gift?
Annette P.  is planning skit for Friday night.
