I guess you thought this would never come! Hope it was worth the wait. I had to do some shopping to add to my stash, now I have no where to put it. The meeting began at 9:30 with a reminder for everyone to sign in and mark whether or not you were staying for the afternoon session. The minutes were accepted as posted to the blog and the treasurer's report was approved as read.

Julia had a call from someone who wanted the guild to give her a price for making a Memory Quilt for her mother-in-law. She lost her husband and has had a rough time adjusting to the loss. A motion was made to make a lap sized quilt for the price of $300. There was much discussion on the price. A motion was made and passed with 4 opposed. Julia is in charge of getting the materials (shirts, ties) from the family.
On the Charity Quilt, Naomi is doing a beautiful job of repairing the wedding ring quilt. The Mississippi Bicentennial Quilt is in need of binding. If you could stay and help with finishing the binding, that would be wonderful.
We have a Yard Sale slated for November. The money you make off of the things you sell will be yours to keep.
We discussed the Christmas party, it'll be here before we know it. We will play the Dirty Santa game ($15 limit) and the Right/Left game which will consist of a handmade gift.
We need to discuss the Raffle Quilt for next year. Our last quilt was the Log Cabin Star and it was raffled off at Pilgrimage. When we raffle it off, the guild keeps the money. Terri H. will work on coordinating and getting things ready.
Wantana asked if anyone would like to participate in a Conversation Quilt. The theme is fairy tales. You would select the block that you want to portray. The size is approximately is 12.5 X 12.5
