Rita's class was a ton of fun and produced fabulous barn quilts which are being hung on quilters homes or displayed inside their homes.LUNCH
Our August Meal was Fried Chicken provided by PTQ Delicious pink fruit saladby Judy, corn salad by Pat. Yummy cake by Kathy, and scrumptious brownies from Marilyn.Thank you all for volunteering.
QUILTS IN PROGRESS
Members finished binding the string quilt.
We have a couple of seams to put in the heart quilt before its top will be complete.
August 22 - 26 Old Man River Quilt Fest in Vicksburg.
NEW BUSINESS
September 30, Saturday class--Julia teaches "Improvisational Piecing for Quilters" at Library
10:30 am - 3:30 pm. Bring your own brown bag lunch.Each member registered will pay $25 fee to guild. Guild will pay Julia. Fee due Sept 9 meeting.
Election Committee
Three Guild Members needed to form the election committee to make nominations for slate of 2018 officers. Please be willing to serve your guild.September meal will be tailgating foods.
Guild members will bring a
favorite finger food, appetizer, or easy to prepare favorite.
Program -
Gwen demonstrated how to create several quilty and other Christmas ornaments. Naomi demonstrated a cute Log Cabin Santa ornament. Some guild members copied patterns to make ornaments later at home and other guild members worked after lunch making ornaments.
