We enjoyed a great day learning how to make chenille quilt tops in a much smaller pillow size version. Watana taught the class to Tonya, Shannon, Gabby, Ina, Karen, Brenda, Judy, Cheri, and Ebba, who are all pictured below. We also had a visitor drop by named Rose. Thank you Watana for taking the time to share this technique with us!

July 12, 2025 Meeting
Meeting minutes from June were accepted as posted with motion from Ina and second from Shannon.
Treasurers report was given by Judy.
Door Prizes were won by Shannon and Ina.
Ina showed the Relay for Life Quilt and did the drawing for the raffle. Dottie won. This quilt was pieced and quilted in honor of those who have lost someone to cancer.
August 9th Watana will do a demo on Chenille quilting and will hold a class on August 23rd.
Nancy Losure did a demo on the Quilt Hugs that she has made for Chemo patients. These are made from fabric and fleece. You quilt as you go in strips. They have pockets on the inside and velcro on the front to close them. Guild purchased 5 patterns. 2 yards of fleece can make 2 of these quilt hugs. The patterns are on aisle runner material that can be found in rolls at Michaels. So copies of the pattern can be made if you want to.
We celebrated Lawana's 90th birthday!
Show and Tell:
We wrapped up the meeting with three Quilt of Valor Presentations. Each of these quilts are labeled to show who nominated the recipient and how they served our country for future generations to remember them by.
