It is a great time of fellowship and learning.

Sip & See - This event was sponsored by The Preservation Committee of Columbus on the evening of Apr 13th. Lauren H. and Terry T. volunteered to represent PTQ at the event. They had a booth to display brochures and to tell people about PTQ, meeting place, time, etc. There was a good bit of interest in shown in PTQ and quilting in general. Thanks to both ladies for taking time to represent PTQ.
June Program - Watana C. will present a bed turning for our program. Arrangements are being made to use the theater upstairs in the RAC. Members were asked to bring collage quilts from Watana's classes they have taken to show also.
Program -
Karen Cauley presented an interesting program on how to make French Rose quilts. She discussed how she chose her fabrics, cutting and layering and placement to achieve the desired raw edge effect. This is an easy, quick method to be used for making pillows, throws, or quilts.
Program - Block of the Month - Brenda C. gave a demonstration on how to construct the fourth BOM which consisted of making flying geese. Brenda showed several different methods for making the blocks. Instructions for various blocks can be found on You Tube, Pinterest, and many other sites. Use the method which is easiest and makes the most sense to you. The end results are the same. Blocks will finish at 9 1/2". There will be 2 blocks each month. Patterns for each block can be found on the Home page of the blog. Look for tabs across the top of the page
