President Terry called meeting to order and welcomed all to July meeting. We had 3 visitors, Cara, Andrew and Barb. After the meeting we had Barb to join our guild. Welcome Barb, we are so glad to have you join us.
Bobbi H. mentioned that this was her last meeting due to her move to Arlington, Texas. Thanks Bobbi for all your help in teaching others while with our guild. You will be greatly missed! Diane has her address for you to stay in contact with her.
Everyone that participated in the 6 inch square swap brought in their 36 squares and before they left for the day all had their stack to start a new project. It will be interesting to see what different quilts all will come up with. There were no duplicates in the swap. Thanks, Donna, for getting this project going.
President Terry asked the group if we wanted to do another Ultimate Guild challenge like we did the Tennessee William quilts. After a vote and approval, the guild will do another challenge. The results from that challenge was: Viewers Choice-Terry T; 1st place-CC; 2nd place-Terry T.; and 3rd place-Watana C. Congratulations ladies! We had a lot of beautiful quilts. More info will be coming out soon on our next challenge.
The treasurer's report was given by Vice President, Patti, due to Tonya's absence. There was no discussion, so it was approved by all.
A thank you letter was read to members from Sue for the quilt that was made for her by the guild. We hope she will be back with us soon. We miss our members when they are away.
Members were asked if they would like to have Marilyn Rose come and teach our guild the "fracture/3D Piercing Panels quilt" on Saturday, August 24 at our regular Sit and Sew day for $30 each. It was unanimous that we do this, so mark your calendars for this special day. You will need 4 identical panels to do this class. Other info will be coming soon.
