In the past, we have focused solely on Quilts for Habitat for Humanity - we could barely keep up with their needs. For the first time, we are now ahead. We have not distributed Charity Quilts to other organizations.
The Guild agreed to make a Quilt to Raffle benefiting Relay for Life Lowndes County. Quilt will not be needed until Spring 2013. Terry will champion this project.
Proposed Blocks in Bright Red, White, and Blue - Patriotic Prints. Everyone to bring fabric, and we will complete Blocks in a Workshop on Saturday, September 29
Challenge Block Committe (Julia):

Judy received word from a lady whose Mother had amassed fabric over the years. Material will be for sale in August. It is in a 2500 square foot building. Age and condition unknown, but all stored in cabinets. There are Cottons, Homespuns, Wools and Muslin. Sale is August 16 - 18; Judy will notify everyone on time, via e-mail. Costs is $2 / lb of material - estimate 3.5 - 4 yards per pound. Home is located north of US82 on Hwy 389 in Starkville. Guild will Road Trip on the 16th, leaving from Lowe's, time tbd.

Watana will be teaching a Stack 'n Whack Class in Vernon Thursday, July 26 and Thursday, August 2 at 1pm at the Health Dept Community Room. This is a 2 Day Class.
Linda D informed us of a space in next week's MQA Class that will be available. Please see Linda for info.
Jennifer informed us September is Cancer Awareness Month. We were asked to consider making Pillowcases for Con-Kerr Cancer. Last year, Our Guild made and donated 125 Pillowcases.
