Sew day on August 29th has been canceled due to the RAC being booked.
Karen updated on the MQA gathering from last weekend. It went really well with positive reviews left from those who attended. Next gathering will be on November 6th- 7th at Rankin Co. Safehouse. February gathering will be in Starkville.
Committee for selection of officer candidates was selected. The volunteers were Ina, Karen C., and CC. Nominees for office will be presented at the next meeting. If you are interested in being an officer please let them know -- any member can be an officer.
Christmas Party this year will be on December 12th at 10 am. Julia has graciously offered to host it this year. Everyone can bring a dish to share, a quilt related gift (handmade/purchased), and their show and tell. Amber will read for the Left-Right game for the gift exchange. Also this will be debut time for the Mystery quilts we have been working on (even unquilted tops can be shown).
Judy presented the Christmas ornaments that she is willing to loan us for the Library Christmas tree decorating (and they were GORGEOUS Judy). Shannon motioned to use the non-breakable ornaments. Ina and Jennifer seconded the motion.
Jelly Roll Race is coming up on September 26th, so now will be a good time to grab your Jelly Rolls. There are no limits to what you can do with them at this sew day. Traditional Jelly Roll Race piecing them end to end, or whatever design you wish to use them for is completely fine.
The 3 yard-3 color quilt challenge has been completed and here is all the beautiful quilts/tops that were completed for the challenge (Awesome job to all):
