Quilt of Valor Presentation to Bill Scott. Bill was awarded Purple Heart twice, Silver Star, and Bronze Star for service. He was hit by shrapnel, had his throat cut with a bayonet, and was put in a body bag. While in the bag he heard a sweet voice saying, "Have no fear" and "Believe". He opened his eyes as the medic unzipped the bag and said, "Thank the Lord." He returned home with an honorable discharge. Thank you for your service Bill.

Karen motioned and Watana seconded to approve minutes as posted on Blog.
Shannon gave the treasurers report. Marilyn motioned and Carol seconded to approve as read.
Visitor came to see if anyone could turn some Judo Jackets into a King Size quilt. Due to the thickness of the material he was referred to the Back Porch Quilter.
Karen C. announced that the upcoming MQA gathering in August has registration opening at 8 am on the 15th of June. The Fall gathering will be November 6th and 7th in Jackson. Spring Gathering will be the first weekend of February in Starkville. MQA is looking for several committee helpers -- contact Karen for more information.
Shannon met with the RAC building committee and had a few items to address:
-Don't touch the thermostat, if you do have to adjust it, please return it to the original setting before you leave.
- Check to make sure toilets aren't running when you leave.
- Pick up behind ourselves, sweeping if there is a mess or especially after a sew day when loose pins may be on the floor.
- Please be sure to return the room to how we found it.
Watana checked in on the Mystery blocks and will repost #8 for better viewing and instructions.
Joncie class will be next month (July 25th). Below are the tools/fabric needed. The tools will be available to purchase from her.
Carol announced that Scrapyard Quilts is having a sale through end of June. Buy 2 yards get 1 free, 20% off of precuts and kits, etc...
Marilyn and Terry motioned and seconded to use Judy's ornaments, on loan, for the Library Christmas tree this year.
