May Program - Karen C. will present a program on French Rose Quilts.

Program -

Terry Turnage presented an interesting program on how to make a Color Wash Quilt.  She discussed how she chose her fabrics and placement to achieve the desired gradient color design.  This is a great stash buster project and can be easily be kitted up for quick, mindless sewing between more complicated projects.  Terry said it was important to have a design wall for this project.  She used a lot of neurtals but was careful to select fabrics which contrasted color and tone, color and value change.  Blocks were 3 1/2', finished 3".  Blocks were very organic in positioning.  Terry named her quilt "Kitchen Sink".

Program - Block of the Month - Brenda C. gave a demonstration on how to construct the third BOM.  Blocks will finish at 9 1/2".  There will be 2 blocks each month.   Patterns for each block can be found on the Home page of the blog.  Look for tabs across the top of the page.
